Free while it's early

Get it on your phone

ExtraProof runs on the phone in your pocket, on site, with one hand. There's nothing to download — it isn't in the App Store and you won't find it by searching. You open a web address and add it to your home screen. Three minutes, and you only do it once.

On a laptop right now?

Point your phone camera at this. It opens the right page.

Or type it in:

app.extraproof.co.uk

Adding it — iPhone

It has to be Safari. Chrome on an iPhone can't add anything to a home screen. If you normally use Chrome, open Safari just for this bit.
  1. Open app.extraproof.co.uk in Safari.
  2. Tap the three dots in the bottom right corner.
  3. Tap Share.
  4. Tap View more — the down arrow in the bottom right.
  5. Tap Add to Home Screen, at the bottom of the list.

Checked on iOS 26.6, 15 August 2026. Apple move these about. If your screen doesn't match, you haven't done anything wrong — tell me and I'll fix this page.

Adding it — Android

Chrome usually offers to install it by itself. Tap the prompt when it appears.

If it doesn't: menu (three dots, top right), then Add to Home screen.

Why not just bookmark it

Fair question, and there's a real answer. Added to the home screen it opens full screen with no browser bars, gets its own icon, and behaves like any other app on the phone. More to the point, it's the only way the camera and the microphone work properly — and those are the two things you'll use every time.

Signing in

Open it and put your email address in. A six-digit code arrives. Type it into the screen you're already looking at. That's it — there's no password to remember, and nothing to set up before you can raise your first extra.

It's a code rather than a link on purpose. A link tapped in Mail opens somewhere else on an iPhone, and you'd come back to the icon still logged out, wondering what you'd done wrong.

Before you start

It's early

The whole chain works, and it's been tested on real phones rather than in a browser on a desk: photograph it, say what needs doing, it comes back written up, you price it, your customer taps approve. But no firm has run a full job through it yet. You'd be among the first, and I'd rather tell you that than have you find out.

It needs a signal

The voice note and the wording both go off the phone to be processed. On a site with no bars, it waits. Offline capture is coming, it isn't here.

It's free while it's early

No card, no plan to pick. The prices on the pricing page are what it'll cost once it's proven — if you're one of the first firms using it, I'm more interested in what you think than in nineteen quid.

Rather I set it up with you?

I'm taking the first few firms through it myself — on the phone or on site, whichever suits. Leave your details and I'll get back to you.

Your details go to me and nowhere else. No newsletter, and nothing sold on.
